This time I was very excited because it's the Summer Must-Haves Meme! I hope lot of people will join in so I get so see some other stuff and maybe some new nifty ideas!
So let's start right away!
1. Base Makeup – [sunscreen,powder,foundation,bbcream, whatever you use in the heat/humidity of summer]
I have been happily using Hada Labo's Whitening Emulsion since the past months and I'm still impressed by it.
The Sunplay with the slightly higher SPF I mainly use on my feet/lower legs, since those have the most exposure and I don't re apply the protection there a lot.
New in is the Clarins MultiProtector SPF40 (beige tinted). This is a sample I'm still using up but I really like it a lot and I have been lately ditching my foundation for it. My skin won't get so oily and this will last all the with great coverage. Also 40SPF is very neat for the face :P Will probably purchase the full size Item afterwards.
Last my current all time winner foundation: Lancome Blanc Miracle Compact. Unbeatable - no oily skin at all, no oxidation, survives the current SG with no problems and stays flawless all day. Nothing more to add here!
2. Point Makeup [blush,eyeshadow,whatever you use in the heat/humidity of summer]
Lately (since june/may?) it has been super hot in SG, a lot warmer than usual. And I have been lazy on make up.
I was going a lot with natural or very simple make up. Since I'm very happy with my (above) base make solutions I didn't feel like using much additional haha.
Therefor if I used any it was the DollyWink Liner, Jill Stuarts Mix Blush and the Dejavu Mascara. I must say the mascara is not such a huge hit with me. It takes so long to apply and the texture is just to thick. I'm just currently using it up...
3. Sunglasses/Hat/Anything you are wearing to block out the sun’s harmful rays
Very important for me, I do not leave the house without Umbrella and Sunglasses.
This Umbrella is supposed to offer UV protection aswell. I'm not sure if this has a certain lasting time. I got tis in Loft last year and been using it since.
The RayBan Sunglasses were the first ones I ever bought and are still doing a good job XD (since 6yrs or so?).
This Hat I picked up just last week for 16SGD, I was looking for one in a while but haven't been able to find a new one until now. Very happy with it and now I got some more head protection!
4. Deodorant/Body Spray/Perfume [whatever you are using to make yourself smell good]
I carry two Travalo's with me, One has Nina Ricci's Fantasy and the other one is actually filled with a face mist :D
Face mists are nice but usually come in rather bulky bottles which is nice for home use bot not handbag friendly. So I bought a 2nd Travalo and filled it with Hadanomy's Lemon mist. Very refreshing and nice!
Currently using Dove RollOn Whitening Deodorant. It's keeps me fresh and sweat free and I feel like my armpits have actually become a bit lighter haha!
5. Other must-haves for Summer
Water bottle. It's generally important to stay hydrated but in Singapore even more. I always have it filled with water or chilled tea.
Blotting paper, like many here I fell in Love with the powdery sheets from Gatsby. Those are just great but with my currently Skin and MakeUp routine, surprisingly I don't really need them much.
Also a men's Item and initially bought for my husband - Bioré Supper Cool facial sheets. They refresh, clean and cool!
I use them for my legs and arms if they get sticky from the heat. For sticky hands and everything I touch in this heat the antibacterial gel is a must. And always with me a mini towel :)
