The New Blog

Welcome to the renewed and reopened OshaberiMoni. This was formerly BeautyOshaberi, but for a big renewal and fresh start I decided to ditch such a specific themed name. From now on this Blog will also bi bilingual (german / english), to get a better connection to my local surroundings.

Daiso Eyeshadows

Daiso a store that literally carries everything and I love it. I haven't really seen much of the MakeUp section until now. Luckily the nice Elaine provided recently the news of the Eyeshadows reaching Daiso Singapore! I remembered a few being mentioned @cosme and by Yumeko, so I was keen to try them out myself.

I headed down to the Daiso at Plaza Singapura, it is bigger than the one at ION, but I am not sure if it's bigger as the one at Vivocity?
I spotted the eyeshadows right away, sadly from the Pearl Eyes they only carried purple and brown. I couldn't find the blue palette which allured me the most!

Looks very nice, doesn't it? Well I did spot a blue from a different palette in Daiso and took it instead to try out. Here is what I bought. Not to bad for 6SGD !

I tried out the blue first, since I was curious haha. The rating on @cosme was a bit lower than the pearl eyeshadow but still fine. It contains 11.4g and is Made in Taiwan, which surprised me, since liquids and dispensable products from Daiso usually are Made in Japan. I found this rather disappointing..

The pigmentation was decent but they weren't so creamy so you need to "grab" enough product to apply.
I did a lights on/off on this only since it looked very sheer under the light but it turned out pretty fine. Also this palette is very shimmer-glittery.

The Pearl Eye Shadow Palettes each contain 7.8g and are Made in China, again rather disappointed in that.
The Pearl Eye Shadow brown, looks at first glance like a very common japanese brown palette.

Upon swatch I was very surprised how vibrant they colors were! Also is it very pigmented and blends very neatly.  This is one great bargain for 2SGD!

The Purple Pearl Eye Shadow is very nice too but I find the color not so strong like the brown one.

The colors look rather pale but I guess it is very wearable for office/day wear. Still neat.
Where the brown one is more vibrant and slightly shimmery, this one is rather sheer and more glittery like the blue one above.

Overall it is very huge bargain vor decent quality especially the brown pearl eye shadow!
Looking forward to discover the blue one on the shelves someday :)

Thanks for popping by!
